Project Statement
Creative Artists Agency's (CAA) new office in Nashville Yards is a distinctive space that reimagines the workplace as an experience-driven environment. Through immersive storytelling, social ecosystems and hospitality-driven design, it celebrates legacy, mentorship, culture and community while setting the stage for the agency’s next chapter in Nashville.
Marking a significant milestone for the agency, the workplace spans two floors and is home to 160 CAA employees working across Global Touring, Music Brand Partnerships, Tour Marketing, Creators, Baseball, Football, Coaches, Brand Consulting, Property Sales and CAA ICON. The project reflects the company’s continued growth in the Southeast Region and investment in Nashville, while also establishing a destination for productivity, connection, and inspiration.
The project transcends branded interiors to deliver impactful experiences. Speakeasy-inspired gathering spaces replace static boardrooms, moving away from hierarchy in favor of collaboration and cross-generational exchange. A sports lounge, terraces, creative zones and dedicated listening lounge signal meaningful investment in comfort and wellness.
Even traditionally utilitarian spaces are elevated: restrooms with glam stations and dressing rooms signal meaningful investment in personal experience.
Branding, art and environmental graphics unfold sequentially across floors, transforming circulation into choreography and the workplace into a sensory journey grounded in authenticity, legacy and forward momentum.
Materiality reinforces narrative throughout the workplace. Rich textures, layered lighting, and hospitality-inspired furnishings dissolve corporate formality in favor of warmth and openness.
The design of CAA’s workplace translates anticipation into design language – balancing legacy with forward momentum – crafting a destination that performs as dynamically as the creative talent it represents.
“We’re incredibly proud to open the doors of our new Nashville home,” said CAA Sports Co-Head and CAA Managing Director Howie Nuchow. “Our office reflects both the tremendous growth of our business and our long-term commitment to the community, bringing colleagues and clients together in a collaborative environment that embodies the creative energy and vibrant culture that distinguish both CAA and Nashville today.”
The workplace also positions CAA in Nashville Yards, a dynamic 19-acre mixed-use district that has been transformed into an energetic, walkable and community-centered urban hub. It is located just steps from Nashville’s iconic Broadway Street and major entertainment venues like the Grand Ole Opry, Bridgestone Arena and The Ryman Auditorium, as well as nearby GEODIS Park and Nissan Stadium.
Through immersive storytelling, social ecosystems and hospitality-driven design, CAA’s space celebrates legacy, collaboration, culture and community while setting the stage for the agency’s future growth. The project has already been profiled by Fast Company, and Billboard and the Nashville Business Journal, among other media.
Framework for Design Excellence Narrative
Creative Artists Agency’s new Nashville workplace addresses essentially all of the AIA Framework for Design Excellence measures to varying degrees.
The project takes two floors in a new building in Nashville and is pursuing both LEED Platinum and WELL Gold Certification.
The space sits in a fully electric building that operates at more than 20% greater energy efficiency than standard office buildings and incorporates cleaner air, filtered water, and abundant natural light.
The workplace especially prioritizes wellbeing – not just via the healthy and resource-minded design practices listed above – but by creating spaces that work for its employees in many business areas. As Fast Company noted in its profile of the workplace, “it's hard to imagine a project that would need to serve as many types of stakeholders as CAA’s new Nashville space.” From professional athletes to employees and their assistants, from content creators to music legends – the list goes on. Yet, the new workplace achieves this through hospitality-infused, dynamic spaces of all types. As Nuchow explains, “We wanted to show our people, through programs and rooms, that they could all be comfortable here.”
This diverse programming stemmed from extensive interviews and focus groups the design team held with employees and staff at every level to understand how they would need to use the office and how it could be improved. Input from agents and assistants alike shaped functional adjacencies with bespoke vision, while Nashville’s cultural context informed tone and atmosphere. This collective approach transformed the project from an office build-out into a shared vision that aligns brand, space and experience into one cohesive narrative of ascent.
It is also important to highlight that the spaces throughout CAA’s workplace ecosystem are also highly flexible, empowering CAA to evolve them over time as business and user needs evolve.
Moreover, the workplace also positions CAA in Nashville Yards, a dynamic 19-acre zone that has been transformed into an energetic, walkable and community-centered urban district. This integrates the workplace into the urban landscape and offers opportunities for connection. The surrounding theaters, sports arenas and music venues are all places where CAA’s talent can perform and enrich the Nashville culture.
Through all these design efforts, the workplace elevates wellbeing, preserves resources, achieves energy-efficiency, fuels discovery, and creates the stage for further change.
