AEG Nashville

Project Statement

Relocating their Nashville office to the heart of downtown, directly adjacent to their new venue, AEG Presents sought to establish a stronger presence in the community while reintroducing themselves as a leader in the live performance industry. Positioned on a floor that sits eye-level with the venue’s outdoor bar, the office maintains a direct connection to the energy of live entertainment just outside its doors.

Upon arrival, guests are welcomed into a moody, dramatic palette that immediately evokes the ambiance of a concert hall. Comfortable lounge furniture layered over textured rugs creates an inviting setting, punctuated by striking custom artwork that celebrates both the brand’s identity and Nashville’s creative culture.

Transitioning into the office areas, the palette brightens, and daylight floods the space. Main circulation paths are defined by curated custom storage elements that serve both functional and spatial roles, providing privacy while adding a distinctive character. Collaboration zones are integrated seamlessly with open office workstations, supporting the fast-paced, energetic nature of the teams. Private offices are designed as clean, neutral backdrops, intentionally flexible to showcase artist tour artwork and show posters, making each space uniquely personal.

The meeting spaces are designed to be both functional and memorable, each infused with creative details such as fringe ceiling elements, velvet drapery, curated built-ins, and custom live-edge wood tables. Employee café spaces are located at either end of the floor plan, with the AEG side opening directly onto a lounge and outdoor terrace, creating a seamless connection to hospitality and entertainment for both staff and guests.

The result is a workplace that balances brand identity, hospitality, and functionality - capturing the energy of live performance while offering employees a modern, flexible, and uniquely Nashville environment.

Design for Economy – Rather than spreading the budget evenly, the design concentrated investment in a handful of high-impact areas, then balanced the rest of the space with lower-cost finishes, without sacrificing design intent or aesthetic quality. The result is a distinctive look for AEG that doesn't depend on an unlimited budget to achieve it.

 

Design for Resources – The design team's approach to material selection always prioritizes sustainability and health impacts, whether or not a project is pursuing third-party certification. On this project, materials were selected throughout the space to balance performance and durability. Where possible, the team prioritized regionally sourced materials and partnered with local craftspeople on specialty pieces, including the meeting room tables.

 

Design for Change – With AEG's rapid growth in mind, the design was built for day two, not just day one. Huddle rooms were sized and equipped identically to private offices, matching AV and power requirements so they can convert to offices as the team expands. The workstation layout was similarly planned with capacity for twenty-four additional employees, giving AEG room to grow without needing to redesign the space.
